Cisco unveils Universal Quantum Switch prototype for multi-vendor quantum networks

Cisco demonstrated a working research prototype that connects quantum computers and sensors from different vendors into one network with under 4% degradation of quantum information. It operates at room temperature over existing fibre and includes a patented engine that converts between different quantum encoding modalities.
