Entropy determines key strength.

Deterministic randomness is a hidden single point of failure

A software generator produces output that only looks random: given its internal state, every future key is predictable. Each key in your estate inherits that weakness at the moment of generation, and no later cryptography can put the lost entropy back.

Quantum processes are non-deterministic by physics

The timing and detection of individual photons is random in a sense no algorithm can imitate: the outcome does not exist before the measurement. Aevum measures such events, monitors the health of the measurement while it runs, and delivers the result in discrete or continuous output modes.
