US executive orders 14412 and 14413 mandate federal PQC transition by 2030 and 2031

On 22 June 2026 the US President signed two quantum executive orders. EO 14412 requires federal agencies and covered contractors to move key establishment to NIST-approved PQC by 31 December 2030 and digital signatures by 31 December 2031, pulling forward the earlier 2035 target, with FAR updates to push requirements down the supply chain; EO 14413 targets acceleration of US quantum computing, sensing and networking.
